Elk Meat
Our animals are locally ranch raised with minimal stress. They spend their entire lives on our native pastures, supplemented with hay in the winter. We do not use growth hormones, steroids or antibiotics. These happy and healthy animals have tender and flavorful lean meat recognized by the American Heart Association as part of a heart healthy diet. Elk has more protein and less cholesterol than beef, pork and even chicken. Being a good source for iron, phosphorus and zinc, elk is a great red meat alternative and supports a primal or paleo diet. With a similar color, elk tastes like a cross of venison and beef.
